Time is running out.
You know you want to join in this Group Break of Hoops goodness. Check out the details and sign-up here. All teams are Chosen, no Random teams. First team is $10 additional teams are $5 each.

I made a tentative order of opening, which will have the 2012-13 Hoops 11 pack boxes mixed in between a few of the other years, and finishing things off with the Past & Present (which is the highlight as far as I'm concerned).
Sign-Ups will have to be in by the end of April, that is Tomorrow. Payments can wait a few days if need be, but sign-up commitments need to be in with commitment to pay to follow. If you sign-up but fail to pay you won't receive the cards and might risk them being sold to someone else after the break.

Blog Basketball Group Break: Sign-Up Deadline Coming
Well this THURSDAY 30 April is the day to complete sign-ups for my blog group box break. I will then start busting the boxes starting sometime after 01 May. I'm not sure of the schedule yet it will obviously be at my convenience. As I've mentioned previously I will record the openings on video but they won't be live since at this time I don't have a simple way to record a live video. I can do a prerecorded video no problem and then post to Youtube but my previous source YouStream doesn't do the live and record at the same time at least not for the free membership I have/had. So in many ways it will be more like other blog breaks where you see the results after the fact not like forum group breaks where you can catch it live at a specific time. Yeah I know that has turned off some people from even joining.
Remember to get in on the action you need to sign-up here and pay ASAP. I'm doing this break for fun not for income. If I was doing this for income the price would be a lot higher, and I would have been posting a ton more of those Annoying Break Reminder Posts and I wouldn't have the boxes to break open yet.
All Hits from the break will be distributed to Break Members even the ones from unclaimed teams. The unclaimed teams base will go into my trade bait.
Do I need to turn up the Heat some?

Deadlines? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Deadline.
Well OK I guess we will need a deadline. It has been pretty quiet so far. That is a bit depressing. I was hoping I wouldn't need to make a deadline for this. I was hoping that March Madness and the NBA Playoffs coming up would be enough to sell this thing. Guess I really should have thought about it at the BEGINNING of the Basketball season. Unfortunately I didn't have the urge to bust open some Basketball boxes until the end of March around when March Madness was ending.
So hey kids there are still plenty of cool teams available for this multi-box group break. For full details cruise down to the group break post and sign-up. Also don't forget to pay promptly (or ASAP). Sign-Up before 30 Apr Midnight Eastern time.
All teams are Chosen, no Random teams. First team is $10 additional teams are $5 each. All hits from the break will be distributed to break members. The unclaimed team hits will be randomized.

I already opened the 7 freebie packs and posted the video for them on YouTube. Those cards will be included in the group break.
The boxes are already in hand the only thing keeping this break from happening is MORE PEOPLE. There are 19 teams still available. Many of them old favorites. If the break gets 2/3 full (9 more teams) before the sign-up deadline I can start busting early.
Worst case scenario is that I go with what we have right now with 11 teams taken and only 4 people. That is a pretty poor showing for a blog group break. So starting sometime around May First I'll start busting the boxes.

Annoying Blog Break Reminder 2
So I have had to resort to another of these huh? OK then.

As of this post 11 of the 30 teams have been claimed that is just over 1/3 of the teams and with only 4 people so far. I need at least 6 more people before I crack these boxes open. The more people that join the more fun it will be, and the more I will have to spend in postage (hehehe).
I'm itching to open up this puppy:
Note with this box of Past & Present there is a slight exception to the break. Since I am building the base set of it I will be claiming the first duplicates. Base cards where a duplicate is pulled the team owner gets the first copy, I get the duplicate, if there are 3 or more of the card the team owner gets all but the one duplicate copy of the card I get. Cards with two or more teams shown the first copy will be randomized between the team owners, if a second copy is pulled then both team owners will get a copy (unless it is more than 2 teams). I will only get the duplicates of multiple team cards if an additional copy is pulled after all team owners get their copy. Don't worry I will not claim any parallels unless a duplicate of the parallel is pulled. As with all cards from the break I will check them carefully to make sure things go to their proper owners.

Blog Basketball Group Break: Freebie Packs
2012-13 NBA Hoops Basketball: 7 Freebie Packs
Here is the detailed listing of the pulls from the 7 Freebie Packs of 2012-13 Panini NBA Hoops Basketball for my Group Break from D&A Card World, pack-by-pack as pulled. I did this as a preview for the break, before sign-ups in the hopes that some nice pull would entice people to join the break. Unfortunately since these are retail packs they didn't have any special hits. I think it is possible to pull autos from these packs but difficult since they are retail. Hopefully the boxes in the break will have some inserts at least.

Blog Basketball Group Box Break OPEN.
OK so you aren't going to be marked absent or win Ben Stein's money on this one, but you will get some nice looking Basketball cards out of it. Yep there are still some great teams available in my Blog's Group Box Break: Basketball Edition Number 1.
The boxes in this break are low to mid-range products from the 2012/13 - 2014/15 seasons with most being 2012/13.The Champion teams from the Spurs and Heat are still available, even all-time faves Bulls and Celtics are available. There are still some good teams available. Chosen teams only, no pesky randomly assigned teams that you don't like (and their cards that you'll never get rid of).
My goal for this is to have 10 people, OK 9 plus me as a bare bones minimum in this break. 15 or more would be better but I won't start busting the boxes till I get at least 7 or 8 more people. I know it is Baseball season, and Basketball is winding down, even Hockey is winding down, but I am in the mood to bust some Basketball right now. The Boxes are in hand and busting at the seams to be opened.
I have opened the freebie packs that D&A included since I ordered so dang much. After I scan some random cards from those packs I'll post the video and results from those 7 packs. I was planning on using the pulls from those as an incentive for people to join the break. Unfortunately they didn't yield any spectacular "Hits". It was as I mention in the post for that pre-break just base.
I wasn't planning on putting a deadline for sign-up for this. I was hoping it would start to fill somewhat and be full enough I wouldn't need a deadline. Then again my blog is not at the top of the popularity list, so sometimes it takes twice as long for people to notice anything I post, if they notice. Its been almost one full week since I announced this break and I only have one person signed up. Another downside is most of my almost 100 followers are mostly Baseball people.
Goal for this week to get a minimum of TWO More People Signed up before April 14. Lets see the Basketball season ends 15 April and the Playoffs start 18 April, so folks should be signed up before then right?
I guess I need some pimpage help for this break. Let your peeps know this break is gonna happen. It just needs da peeps.
Wanna Sign UP? You know you want to.
Updated: Had to make an adjustment or two for a second sign-up.

Updates: Winners and a group break
UPDATE, UPDATE UPDATE
This post is basically just to update a few things. First I admit I am more than a bit behind in taking care of my end of some trades that I have already received cards from. It makes me feel bad and then I get all depressed and then I look through my card hoard start to go through it and then get tired or distracted. Sorry if you are expecting your end of a trade with me. I'll eventually get around to things I just have the trading part of trading cards thing in low gear right now.
I held a blogiversary contest and am sort of hunting for stuff for the winners/runner-ups. I'm taking my time a little bit because I still haven't heard from two of the winners. Granted the contest was held about 6 months ago and the winners just announced about 2 or 3 weeks ago. So all in all pretty good for a PFC*.
I am also looking for people to fill my Blog Basketball Box Group Break. It is my first Basketball one. Many good teams still available. Sign-Up and join in the fun.

Well I guess that is life in the big city, or rather the suburbs of the big city. On a bright side it looks like I'm just two followers away from having 100 followers. OK we know that technically not all followers still follow and those who are private followers don't always show up in the following count, some people loose interest in the blogs they were following, or loose their internet connections, others change their online accounts and then there are those who sadly have passed away, but the system doesn't know those facts nor does it care. 100 followers is 100 followers, even if only 1 or 2 are still left following.

Washington Wednesday: March Madness 2015
MARCH MADNESS
a Complete Team Set: Bullets Edition
First this post is not about College Hoops championship games which
occur this time of year. This is about a completion of another Homie
Team Set. This time one of the easier Basketball sets of the Bullets
from the 1990s. The only "rare" card I think this team set contains is a
color swap/error variant which isn't really all THAT rare. It isn't
necessary to have all variants for a team set to be considered complete,
but it is fun having them. The other cards seem to be super easy to
find as this set is smack dab in the middle of the junk years.
The set is 1990-91 Fleer Basketball The Washington Bullets. I have included one player that was traded to theNew Orleans Utah Jazz Jeff Malone because he is pictured in his Bullets uniform even though the card is branded with the Jazz logo and the "Traded to Utah" bubble. I also have included the three cards from the Update set which technically is a smaller team set. The design of the set makes me want to get the rest of the set. I do have a lot of cards from this set, but haven't cataloged all of them. **sigh** a collector's work is NEVER done.
I also have three cards from players who used to be Bullets a few seasons before. I think I'll reserve yakking about them in a later post.
